The humor is that the Daily Kos ISN’T a conservative site. This post was a joke. That’s why they said “must be some new conservative site.” Just like this site is “conservative.” This was just advertising for a “fellow gay haters site,” and was supposed to be taken sarcastically. It’s kind of clear since they tagged a specific article, which they obviously read.

12.7 times better? No, no, no…someone forgot their sexuality math.

Straight is 10 times better than Gay^2, and 40.893 times better than the square root of bisexuality divided by a rainbow.

You could include logarithms, but that is an entirely different chapter, and you have to bring in variables such as how many adopted children the couple has and whether or not the gay person raises their pinky when they drink, and what the drink consists of. I did my dissertation on this stuff, I know what I’m talking about.

Seeing how the tone of the article is sarcastic in nature, pointing out the ‘folly’ of not giving gays equal rights, I’d say it fits under the definition of satire.

um, the kos is a progressive site (and one of the top two political blogs on the web so you should have heard of it), not a satire site, and this is clearly not even satire – it’s a statement of all of the economic, social and legal benefits of being straight, in the service of pointing out how unfair it is. C’mon guys. I expect better of my big gay umbrella.
