This video is fantastic! I do find it funny that some people can state that two people who love eachother can not have the same rights or people will break down to all their beastality desires… do you think a duck can say I do?

I think the extreme examples are overpowering the point. Perhaps I’m wrong and people are just being silly, who knows. Advancing on the premise that media attention and soundbites have completely overpowered the message I offer the following. There is no right to marriage, period. Looking to the U.S. Constitution we can rely on either the 5th Amendment (takings clause) or 14th Amendment (due process clause) as our basis in law. State’s have permitted marriage, and through common law the custom has evolved into a legal contract. Now in the context of hetereosexual marriage the government cannot prohibit marriage for an arbitrary reason. For instance Virginia attempted to deny mixed race marriages. Because that violated Due Process the government had to provide a compelling interest in prohibiting the marriages and show that the rule was narrowly tailored to serve the interest that was being protected by the prohibition. Look into the case if you’d like for the result of that case, though I’m sure you can figure out what happened. But in the case of gay marriage there is no common law right, so there is no due process issue. The argument that people are free to marry whomever they wish then is taken in the due process context to mean that the government cannot regulate even the ability to marry a duck because if it is a due process violation for you to deny me the right to marry x, then why can you regulate my marriage to y or z?
